TUKWILA, Wash. — Police are investigating after two people were injured in a shooting in a parking lot right outside the east entrance of the JCPenney at Southcenter Mall in Tukwila.
The shooting occurred just after 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Tukwila police said a woman and man were taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with critical injuries.
Chopper 7 flew over the scene, where our cameras spotted medics working on the people before they were taken to Harborview.
It is not yet known what led to the shooting.
Police said there is no “active threat” to the public and the incident is believed to be isolated.
The suspect fled the scene, police said.
At this time, we can confirm that a female and a male were both injured in the shooting incident and transported to Harboview Medical Center with critical injuries. The incident is believed to be an isolated incident that occurred in a parking lot. The suspect immediately fled.
