PUYALLUP, Wash. — Around 4:42 p.m. on Sunday, Puyallup Police Department officers answered calls about shots fired near South Meridian and West Pioneer Avenue in Puyallup.
Witnesses told police that two people got off a Pierce Transit bus and fired multiple shots at a person who was inside the bus.
Police said no one inside the bus was hit but the bus was struck multiple times.
The two suspects took off on foot going northbound.
Police said, the bus driver followed agency policy and moved the bus to a safe location.
With help from nearby agencies and a K9 unit, police swept the area for the suspects.
Police are describing one suspect as a white male between 5 foot 8 to 5 foot 10 wearing a black beanie, sweatshirt and pants. The second suspect was described as a black male between 25 to 30 years old wearing dark clothing and black hair.
Police recovered shell casings from the scene on South Meridian. The investigation is ongoing.
