Police: Man attacks women with bat during argument on Capitol Hill

SEATTLE — A man hit two women in the head during an argument in the Capitol Hill neighborhood, a Seattle police significant incident report said.

On Sunday at 1:45 a.m., officers were called to a report of a man attacking women with a baseball bat at East Pike Street and Broadway.

Officers arrived to find the man driving away. He was pulled over and detained.

Two victims and two of their friends, all women, were found covered in blood.

Police learned there was an argument between the four women and a man on the street.

As the argument escalated, the man punched two of the women before going to his car and grabbing a T-ball bat. He then hit the two victims in the head before he tried to leave, according to police.

The man was arrested for investigation of second-degree assault.
