SEATTLE — A standoff has ended in South Lake Union, where police got an armed and barricaded man out of an abandoned building on Thursday evening.
The man was put on a stretcher before 7 p.m.
Firefighters were first called at about 4:30 p.m. to the building, located in the 200 block of Terry Avenue North, for a fire.
Officials said the man had refused to come out of the building, and that is when the scene was turned over to the police and the SWAT team.
Once police got the man out, medics took him to the hospital to be checked out.
His condition is not known.
