Police in Omak, Wash. are investigating two separate reports of pins found in Halloween candy.
The Omak Police Department said in both complaints, a straight pin was discovered in a box of Nerds. The plastic tip on the pin was the same color as the candy in the box.
One of the boxes of Nerds was turned into the Omak Police Department.
Police had also received a report that a similar straight pin was found inside the packaging of a small Snickers bar.
Omak police are encouraging parents to inspect all their children's candy and packaging closely.
Anyone who finds anything suspicious is asked to contact police immediately.
