DES MOINES, Wash. — Police are searching for a suspect who a woman said tried to rape her Thursday in the 2100 block of South 200th in Des Moines.
King County Sheriff's Office officials said there was an active K-9 track after the attempted rape around 11:30 a.m. on the Des Moines Creek Trail.
Police said the woman was walking on the trail when the man pressed something to her back that she said felt like a gun.
The woman faked an injury and was able to escape, police said.
Police described the suspect Thursday as an unknown-race man who was wearing a dark hoodie.
