TUKWILA, Wash. — Tukwila police are investigating a shooting in the city’s Allentown neighborhood Monday.
The shooting occurred at a home in the 12000 block of 44th Avenue South at 11:19 a.m. Police said the man staggered out into the street and then collapsed. He was found by a friend who then called 911.
The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
A witness told police a few men were spotted running away from the scene. It is not known if they are suspects or witnesses.
Police are sending a SWAT team into the home where the shooting occurred after those inside refused to come out and a standoff ensued.
Video from Chopper 7 showed officers at the scene with guns drawn as they searched for the suspect.
