Police searching for hit-and-run driver who struck man on lawnmower

BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Bellingham police are searching for a driver who struck and critically injured a man on a lawnmower Friday.

The collision occurred before 1:30 p.m. in the 900 block of Samish Way, just south of the Elks Club.

The victim was riding a John Deere lawnmower when he was hit.

Investigators said they are working to identify the driver of a white sedan.
