Police searching for suspect after Lynnwood gas station clerk robbed at gunpoint

LYNNWOOD, Wash. — Police are searching for a man who robbed a Lynnwood gas station Friday morning.

The suspect robbed the AM/PM located in the 16000 block of Highway 99 around 4 a.m. Friday, according to the Lynnwood Police Department.

He reportedly approached a clerk while displaying a gun and demanded cash and cigarettes. The clerk complied, out of fear for her own safety, and was not hurt.

Another employee at the gas station, who was just arriving at work as the suspect was leaving the scene, was able to provide officers with a description of the man’s vehicle and license plate number.

Everett Police Department officers spotted the vehicle Saturday morning and assisted Lynnwood PD in contacting the vehicle’s driver.

The car was seized and impounded. Police are working to obtain a search warrant for the vehicle.

Police are continuing to investigate the incident, and have yet to determine if the registered owner of the vehicle is the same person who held the gas station clerk at gunpoint.
