PORT ORCHARD, Wash. — A Port Orchard man is in the hospital recovering after crashing his car into a tree Thursday morning.
Kitsap County Sheriff’s Deputies say the 36-year-old was found lying in the middle of the road near the intersection of Dogwood Drive Southeast and Southeast Deep Lake Road around 1:00 a.m.
Deputies found his Toyota Avalon in the ditch, up against the tree.
The man was rushed to Tacoma General Hospital for emergency surgery and deputies say they obtained a warrant for a blood draw beforehand. They believe he was under the influence when he crashed.
The sheriff’s office will forward all evidence to the Kitsap County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office while the man recovers from his injuries.
