Thousands wake up to no power Thursday morning amid late winter storm

Thousands of customers are still without power after a winter storm brought snow to parts of Western Washington overnight.
Across Western Washington, about 50,000 customers were without power early Thursday morning, with the majority in Kitsap, Pierce and Thurston counties.
That number has since improved but thousands are still in the dark.
As of 3 p.m. Thursday, Puget Sound Energy’s outage map showed 326 active outages with about 12,504 customers affected.
Most of the current outages are in Thurston County, where 8,466 of its PSE customers are affected.
Kitsap County comes in second with about 2,562 customers without power.
