Puget Sound Fire cuts vehicle roof to free driver after crash

A driver received minor injuries in a single-vehicle crash Thursday morning in Kent, according to Puget Sound Fire.

Firefighters responded to the 8600 block of South 228th Street at 10:22 a.m. to find a car involved in the accident.

The driver, the only person in the car, required help to get out.

Firefighters stabilized the vehicle before removing a portion of the roof to extricate the driver.

The process took approximately 50 minutes.

The injured driver was transported to a local hospital by ambulance for further treatment.
