PUYALLUP, Wash. — A Puyallup police officer was injured in a crash Tuesday while responding to another collision, officials said.

An officer was responding to an injury collision in Puyallup. As he cleared the intersection of 37th Avenue SE and Meridian Street, a Ford pickup crashed into a Puyallup Police Department truck.
The officer was evaluated for injuries.
Officer-involved Collision Update - Meridian is closed at 37th Ave SE northbound and down to one lane southbound for at least 2 more hours while officers investigate the collision.
