SEATTLE — A shooting in Seattle’s Rainier Valley early Thursday sparked a major police response outside a Safeway store.
Shortly after 4:30 a.m., police were called to South Othello Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Way.
A Seattle Department of Transportation camera showed numerous police vehicles at the scene where officers said a 27-year-old man had been shot in the leg.
Officers and Seattle Fire Department medics arrived and the man was taken to Harborview Medical Center with serious injuries.
Video from the scene showed crime scene tape around a bus stop.
Witnesses told investigators that the victim was involved in an argument before he was shot.
No suspect has been identified.
