SEATTLE, Wash. — The Seattle Police Department is asking the public to keep an eye out for a man accused of stealing a $27,000 bracelet from the downtown Tiffany & Co.
On Jan. 2, just after 4:30 p.m. patrol officers were called to the store on Pine Street.
Workers told police the man was visibly shaking when he wandered into the store and asked to try on a solid gold bracelet encrusted with diamonds.
Officers say security tried stopping him, but the man ran out of the store.
Pacific Place security also tried stopping him, but officers say he broke free. The guard was able to get the bracelet off his wrist, and it was returned to the store.
Officers say the man looks like he is in his 20s and was wearing white Apple Air pods, a dark blue puffer jacket with a white North Face logo, a gray t-shirt, black pants, and black and white New Balance sneakers.
The same man is also being investigated by the Bellevue Police Department, accused of stealing a different Tiffany pavé bangle on December 26, 2024, that has a value of $16,000.
Anyone with information regarding the man’s identity is asked to call 911 or contact the Seattle Police Department’s Violent Crimes Tip Line at (206) 233-5000. You can remain anonymous.
