A dog who survived being lost in Yellowstone Park has found her forever home.

The dog’s journey began on Sept. 28, when she was found in Yellowstone Park in Wyoming.

Those who found her brought her to the park rangers, but no one had reported a missing dog in the park.

Volunteers brought her to a Shelton shelter and started searching for her owners, reaching our to KIRO 7 for help.

About a week after her story aired, volunteers tracked down the dog’s family in Idaho.

The owners told the shelter they were unable to take her back.

But this story still has a happy ending.

The foster family keeping the dog have fallen in love and will now adopt her.
