A former Redmond lifeguard was charged with eight counts of voyeurism after police said he recorded multiple videos of young women and high school students changing in the female staff locker room at Hartman Pool.
Allen Sze, 25, of Redmond, was working as head lifeguard at the time, but will now be terminated, said Tyson Wellock of Wave Aquatics, which operates the pool.
According to documents filed in King County Superior Court, Sze recorded undercover videos of women changing clothes and showering on eight different days during a three-month period.
His cellphone was discovered by a high school swim team member on September 7. At the time, it had been recording video of her and other women for more than 14 minutes, according to a police report.
During an interview the day he was arrested, an investigator asked Sze “how many other videos am I going to find on your phone?” He answered “One, I believe.”
But investigators say they actually found nine recordings, eight of which showed undressed women, which is why he was charged with 8 counts of voyeurism.
The court documents also reveal Sze admitted that he knew many of the females recorded were minors, and that he recorded them for a “sexual thrill.”
Sze's bail was set at $75,000. He is currently out of custody and is scheduled for arraignment on October 17th.
