SEATTLE, Wash. — If you need to renew your license or car tabs—it’s going to be tricky this week.

The Washington State Department of Licensing (DOL) says there will be a series of closures while they perform some system updates.

According to the DOL, online services for vehicle and boat licensing will be down through Monday, Feb. 17.

All driver licensing offices, as well as the call center, will close from Feb. 14 to Feb. 17.

This means you won’t be able to order car tabs or renew your driver’s license online until Feb. 18.

The DOL says it expects long wait times in some locations when offices reopen. If you need to visit in person, make an appointment and skip the line.

Business and professional licensing systems won’t be impacted.
