RENTON, Wash. — A suspect has been arrested in an early morning double shooting along the Cedar River Trail.
The shooting happened near the 1500 block of Houser Way South, near the Cedar River Dog Park, at around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Two people were inside a tent when they were shot from the outside by a man they knew, according to Renton Police Spokesperson Meeghan Black.
A 33-year-old man was shot in the upper torso. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center.
A 20-year-old man who was shot in the arm was taken to Valley Medical Center.
At 11:55 a.m., Renton Police said a 31-year-old man was in custody.
UPDATE at 5:15 AM- This shooting occurred in an encampment near the Cedar River Dog Park. Detectives say a known male suspect fired at a tent, striking two people. A 30 YO male was struck in the upper torso and a 20 YO was shot in the arm.
