Report of home invasion robbery reveals illegal marijuana grow operation

KING COUNTY, Wash. — A reported home invasion and robbery in Skyway on Sunday led to the discovery of an illegal marijuana grow operation, King County deputies said.

At about 3:20 a.m. deputies were called to the 6600 block of South 127th Place for the reported robbery. In the process of securing the premises, deputies said they found the operation.

After obtaining a search warrant, deputies said they seized 687 pot plans, 418 grams of processed marijuana, a handgun, $30,000 and a car.

Three people were arrested and booked into jail, authorities said.

Police are still investigating the home invasion and no arrests have been made so far.

King County sheriff’s officials said illegal growing operations often attract other and more serious crimes, such as the home invasion.
