SEATTLE — After becoming the highest paid player in NFL history last week, Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is giving back to his offensive line.
According to TMZ, Wilson gave each of the Seahawks' 13 current offensive lineman $12,000 in Amazon Stock.
The report was confirmed by ESPN on Monday.
Wilson and the Seahawks agreed to a four-year $140 million contract extension, with $65 million guaranteed last Tuesday.
In addition to the stock, TMZ reported each lineman received a letter from Wilson explaining the gift.
"Every Sunday we go to battle together," Wilson wrote ... "You sacrifice your physical and mental well-being to protect me, which in turn allows me to provide and care for my family." Click here to read more.
Wilson has started every game of his seven-year career for the Seahawks after being drafted in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft.
In 112 regular season games, Wilson has passed for 196 touchdowns and 63 interceptions and has added another 3,651 yards and 16 touchdowns rushing.
