Snohomish County residents located west of Index are not under an evacuation order, as was suggested by an alert sent by Sky Valley Fire just after 3 p.m. on Saturday.
The alert told residents of Snohomish County to leave immediately with no time for delay, due to the growing Bolt Creek Fire. Sky Valley Fire and the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office announced that no one west of Index is under an evacuation order and that those residents should disregard the alert.
