Richard Sherman has been a bit of a grinch of late on matters relating to the football field, but the Seahawks cornerback talked about the importance of Christmas in his life and giving back during the holidays in his latest video installment for the Player's Tribune.

The video features Sherman’s fiancée, Ashley Moss, who is executive director of Blanket Coverage, the Richard Sherman Family Foundation that formed to provide students in low-income communities with school supplies and clothing so they can more adequately achieve their goals. Moss explained how her family adopts other families for Christmas, bringing 38 of them together to meet other Seahawks and give gifts.

“I’m talking when I go, it’s seven, eight carts, I’m holding up a line, sometimes they’re opening a new line,” Moss said. “Then we get it all in the house and we wrap it all up. It’s so much fun. It’s so much fun. We don’t do gifts for our Christmas, so this is our Christmas.”

“You find time for things that matter,” Sherman said. “And this really matters.”
