Rifles, ammo stolen in Lakewood Big 5 burglary; reward offered

LAKEWOOD, Wash. — Police are looking for two men who broke into a Big 5 sporting goods store and stole rifles and ammunition last month. A reward of up to $4,000 is offered.

At 4 a.m. on May 6, one man broke into the business in the 5700 block of 100th St. SW through the roof. He stole three rifles, several boxes of ammunition and several Airsoft rifles that look like real firearms.

He then met a second man when he left the building. They both left in a four-door crossover SUV-type vehicle.

The surveillance photos above show the suspects and the car they left in.

The Bureas of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is offering a $1,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects responsible. The National Shooting Sports Foundation is matching the ATF’s reward.

Crime Stoppers of Tacoma/Pierce County is also offering a reward of up to $1,000.
