SUMNER, Wash. — A rolled over semitruck blocked southbound State Route 167 in Sumner for several hours on Tuesday.
The Washington State Department of Transportation tweeted about the closure near State Route 410 at 8:38 a.m.
Two lanes were reopened for about an hour, but were closed again for the cleanup process.
Tow truck operators, WSDOT crews and state troopers were on scene and working to clear the crash.
As of 12:30 p.m., the semi was upright and crews were removing debris from the highway.
All lanes were reopened just before 2 p.m.
The driver of the semitruck was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
We had to close SB SR 167 again at SR 410 interchange for cleanup. The WB SR 410 ramp to SB SR 167 is also closed. Detours are in place. If you're driving from King Co, strongly advise using alternate routes such as SR 18 to SB I-5. https://t.co/Vj2aMDBI7P

Progress! 2 right lanes open on SB SR 167 just past the SR 410. The left lane remains blocked. Backups are to Ellingson Road. WB SR 410 is also seeing backups. Please be patient while traffic clears, and respect speed limits on local streets in the surrounding communities. pic.twitter.com/6J80fvykXX
