The Port of Seattle announced Sunday that the parking garage at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) is near capacity amid a busy weekend.
In its alert, the Port urged travelers to plan for extra time to find a parking spot, or consider using methods aside from driving to get to SEA, including the bus, Link light rail, and app-based rideshare.
There are three King County Metro routes that pick up adjacent to the light rail station on International Boulevard:
- Rapid Ride A-line (Federal Way)
- Route 161 (Burien/Kent)
- Route 156 (Southcenter/Des Moines)
Sound Transit operates two express bus routes that pick up and drop off passengers at the south end of SEA’s main terminal on the lower drive.
- Route 574 heads south, connecting with Federal Way and Tacoma and ending in Lakewood.
- Route 560 serves Burien, Renton, and Bellevue.
The Link light rail 1 Line serves the airport from 5 a.m. to 1 a.m. Monday through Saturday and from 6 a.m. to midnight on Sunday and holidays.
Travelers looking to take an app-based rideshare like Uber, Lyft or Wingz can get picked up at SEA on the third floor of the parking garage in rows G through J in the orange and purple sections of the garage. Passengers getting dropped off at the airport will be dropped off at the main terminal.
