A 29-year old security screener for the Transportation Security Administration at Sea-Tac Airport has been arrested and booked into the King County Jail for investigation of voyeurism.
An eyewitness told KIRO 7 that he was catching a flight at Sea-Tac late last month when he saw a man in a blue TSA uniform trying to record cellphone images from under a woman's skirt while going up an escalator near gate B-10.
Nicholas James Fernandez was arrested Tuesday afternoon.
Lorie Dankers, of the TSA, provided this statement:
"TSA does not tolerate illegal, unethical or immoral conduct. When such conduct is alleged, TSA investigates it thoroughly. When appropriate, TSA requests that it be investigated by a law enforcement authority. When an investigation finds that misconduct has occurred, the appropriate action is taken."
The TSA did remove the employee from screening duties.
Bail was set at $7500, and he waived his right to appear in court.
