RENTON, Wash. — The Seattle Seahawks announced a new game day poster series featuring designs from local artists on Tuesday.
For each of the team's eight regular-season home games, an artist will make a 18-inch by 24-inch poster with designs that feature the opposing team.
"The Seahawks have partnered with renowned Pacific Northwest artists Ames Bros to curate the collection and select the artists to design the posters," a spokesperson for the team wrote in a news release.
The posters will have the game opponent and date and will be locally screen printed in limited qualities, the team said.
The first poster for this weekend's game against the Cincinnati Bengals was made by Preston Singletary and is on-sale now.
"We are proud to launch this program as a tribute to the vibrant and diverse Seattle arts community," said Jeff Richards, Seahawks vice president of marketing and community engagement. "Fans have long seen a diverse selection of local art displayed throughout CenturyLink Field and this is another way we're excited for fans to see their favorite games represented through unique, creative designs, and be exposed to new local artists at the same time."
The posters will be unveiled the Monday before each home game and are available for purchase here.
The team said the proceeds from the poster sales will benefit The Creative Advantage Foundation, which helps provide high quality arts education equitably across the Seattle School District.
