SEATTLE — For the second time this season, the Seattle Seahawks will wear their Action Green jerseys when they take on the Minnesota Vikings Monday.

Monday's game against the 8-3 Vikings will be broadcast on KIRO 7. Pre-game coverage begins after our 4 p.m. newscast with KIRO 7 Game Day Live. Kickoff is at 5:15 p.m.

However, there will be less Action Green than fans have seen in the past.

For the first time since the jersey re-design in 2012, the Seahawks will pair the ‘Action Green' jersey with blue pants.

The Seahawks wore their full Action Green uniform in a 30-29 win over the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday Night Football earlier this season.

Fan versions of the "Action Green" jerseys are available for purchase at all four Seahawks Pro Shop locations and online.

Seattle has a 4-0 record all-time when wearing their current action Green jerseys.

Combine their undefeated record in the Action Green with their 28-5-1 record in prime time games under Pete Carroll and Seahawks fans should feel confident heading into Monday night's showdown.

Here are Raible's three keys to victory for the Seahawks on Monday:

Key #1 : Win the Ground Game

This is going to be a real chess match Monday night. You've got two teams that really want to run the ball.

Both, though, can throw it when they need to.. and when they want to. So who's going to blink first!

You've got the league's 4th ranked -- Vikings, and the #6 Seahawks.. when it comes to running the football.

As we noted earlier, Dalvin Cook over a thousand yards just 11 games into the season. He is fast, explosive and an excellent receiver.

Chris Carson needs just 121 yds for his second straight 1000-yd campaign.

But I'll bet money that the difference come Monday Night is a 'penny'..Rashad Penny. His 126-yd explosion against the Eagles means the Hawks enter the final quarter of the season with a double-barreled rushing attack.

And we all know what running the ball means-- play action passes. It's the Seahawks way.. and it's ground game they need to win.

KEY #2 : PILE UP THE TAKEAWAYS

In Philadelphia, the Hawks had a season-high 5 takeaways .. the most since 2017.

But it wasn't just a on-off.. it was the 4th time in the last 6 games Seattle has chalked up 3 or more takeaways.. 8 in just the past two games.

The new guy Diggs has a pick and a fumble recovery in the last two.

The Seahawks are the 3rd ranked team in the NFL in Turnover Differential.. the Vikes are tied for 9th.

Takeaways are game-changers and you can't get enough of them.

KEY #3: DK Bounce Back

In a word DK Metcalf has been a "star".. physically imposing, fast as a scat-back. He ranks #2 among rookie receivers with 630-yds.

And is 2nd on the team behind Tyler Lockett with 5 TD catches. So what's the deal you ask??

Well you might want to sit down for this.. but DeKaylin Zecharius Metcalf is HUMAN.

"Bite your tongue"- you say! Listen-- it's a long season, even for veterans.

But for rookies it's like two college seasons. Concentration can be a factor.

Metcalf has lost two fumbles.. and last week against the Eagles dropped two passes-- one a sure touchdown.

DK is supremely talented and as hard a worker as there is on this team.

But they *need him to make the big plays.

They need his star to shine.
