NORTH BEND, Wash. — An overdue hiker who had not been seen for more than a week near North Bend was found safe Sunday morning, deputies said.
The King County Sheriff’s Office said 25-year-old Andrew Devers was last seen around the Middle Fork Campground on June 18.
Deputies said crews continued their search throughout the week.
On Sunday, deputies said Devers was found by a trail runner near North Bend’s Middle Fork Trailhead.
He survived on berries and river water.
He was taken to the hospital to be evaluated.
“We offer our thanks to all regional SAR volunteers,” deputies said.
