SAMMAMISH, Wash. — A 25-year-old man is dead after he was shot during a home invasion robbery in Sammamish Wednesday night.
King County sheriff’s deputies said the man was shot at the Highland Garden Apartments in the 4500 block of Klahanie Drive Southeast, which is across from the QFC on Issaquah Fall City Road.
The King County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes unit is working the case. Authorities asked people who live in the area to stay indoors, especially during the overnight and early morning hours.
Ryan Abbott with the sheriff’s office said an 18-year-old and a 20-year-old were arrested in connection with the incident Thursday morning. Deputies said the third and final suspect, a 24-year-old man, was arrested Thursday afternoon.
Investigators say the shooting was not random.
“This is a very rare occurrence, especially in Klahanie. This is a very safe area and they don’t have anything like this. Like I said, it’s very rare for something like this to happen, so our detectives, King County Major Crimes detectives, are here, they will be doing a thorough investigation and will determine exactly what happened and why it happened here,” said Abbott.
The victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center and died from his injuries.
