SEATTLE — The Seattle CEO who rose to national fame by boosting his average employees’ salaries nearly 50% pleaded not guilty on Tuesday to misdemeanor assault and reckless driving charges.
Dan Price won international acclaim for his 2015 decision at credit card processor Gravity Payments.
He raised average worker pay from $48,000 to $70,000 a year while cutting his nearly million-dollar salary.
The 37-year-old is now accused of cornering a woman in his Tesla and trying to kiss her after they met for dinner in January.
He reportedly did doughnuts with her in the car in a Northgate parking lot before she got out.
On Tuesday, Price was ordered not to consume alcohol, cannabis or non-prescription drugs while his case is pending.
The judge also issued an anti-harassment protection order against Price, barring him from contacting the woman.
His next hearing is slated for July 1.
