Seattle congressional candidate says police detainment was racially biased

SEATTLE — A Seattle congressional candidate says he was manhandled by Seattle police and detained.

Detectives say Jesse Wineberry, 61, was spotted in a vehicle that was reported stolen on July 10 in the 1500 block of Occidental Avenue South.

Seattle police released the video of officers pulling Wineberry over.

According to police, Wineberry claimed his detainment was racially-biased.

Wineberry was interviewed by police and then released. The car impounded.
