Seattle passed 100,000 COVID-19 test swabs at its community testing sites Friday, according to the Seattle Fire Department.
The 100,000th COVID-19 test swab at the City’s Community Testing Sites was acquired at the SODO site on Aug. 7 from a Seattle resident in his late 20’s who got tested due to close contact with someone else who had COVID-19. The 100,000th test was a man in his late 20s who got tested after exposure to the virus.
Seattle currently has three free testing sites across the city as part of a partnership with UW Medicine and King County.
There are two drive-thru sites, one on Aurora Avenue in North Seattle and one in the SODO neighborhood. Get more information here.
A walk-up site also recently opened in Rainier Beach.
