SEATTLE — Investigators with the Seattle Police Department are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who attacked a security guard at a downtown store.
Police said the man was spotted attempting to leave a store without paying for items around 6:15 p.m. on March 12 in the 1400 block of 2nd Avenue.
"When a security guard confronted the man, the man then climbed on top of the guard and put his hand around his throat," Seattle Police said in a blotter post.
Police said another employee intervened and pushed the man away.
The man then fled the scene, officials said.
