SEATTLE — Detectives with the Seattle Police Department are asking for the public’s help in tracking down a armed robbery suspect.
Police said the suspect held-up a fast-food restaurant in the 3200 block of Rainier Avenue South just after 10 p.m. on Feb. 28.
"The suspect, described as a black male in his 20's to 30's, approximately 5'7″ to 5'9″ tall with a medium build, was wearing a black hooded jacket and black pants," police said in a blotter post.
According to police, the man waited for a customer to leave the store and then demanded a female employee open the store’s safe. Police said the suspect implied he had a gun, but one was not seen by employees.
“The suspect was wearing latex gloves and had the lower portion of his face covered by a mask. After taking money from the safe and the registers, the suspect walked out of the business,” police said.
Surveillance video from inside the store appears to show a distinct tattoo on the suspect’s right wrist.
Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to contact Detective Rodgers with the Seattle Police Department at (206) 684-0821.
