Seattle Police Department detectives are investigating the death of a 14-year-old boy who was found unresponsive with multiple injuries at his home in South Seattle on Thursday afternoon, according to police.
Patrol officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute involving a mother and her teenage son at approximately 2:17 p.m. in the 4000 block of 14th Avenue South.
When they arrived, police discovered the boy with injuries. Seattle Fire Department medics provided immediate medical treatment to the teenager.
The 14-year-old was rushed to Harborview Medical Center (HMC) in critical condition.
Tragically, he was pronounced dead at the hospital despite all life-saving measures.
The victim’s 29-year-old mother was taken into custody for investigation of homicide and booked into King County Jail.
