Seattle police patrol car damaged in crash

SEATTLE — The Seattle Police Department will need to fix one of its patrol cars after an officer-involved crash early Thursday morning.

Police said an officer was struck by a vehicle on Rainier Avenue South and South Othello Street around 1:30 a.m.

The airbags deployed in the car that struck the patrol car, police said. The car's front end appeared to be crumpled as well.

Police did not say if the officer involved was taken to the hospital, but did say no one was seriously hurt.
