Seattle police responded to a stabbing in Beacon Hill Monday morning, according to the Seattle Police Department.
Shortly before 5 a.m., officers responded to the report of an assault in the 5300 block of 31st Avenue South in Beacon Hill.
When officers arrived, they found a 50-year-old woman with serious injuries in the doorway of the home.
That woman and her 73-year-old mother were escorted from the home, while police searched the home for more victims.
Inside, they found the body of the 21-year-old woman.
They also found a 54-year-old man with a knife, who was taken into custody.
The 50-year-old woman was taken to a hospital for her injuries.
The man was taken to a hospital for minor injuries.
Detectives are working to determine what led up to the stabbing.
