SEATTLE — Organizers of the Seattle Pride parade and Seattle Pride in the Park announced Tuesday plans for an in-person LGBTQIA+ event in October.

The theme, All Together Now, will be smaller in scale than the parade or festival, but will be the first in-person event since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Seattle Pride previously announced a virtual event for June 25 and 26, featuring live performances headlined by hip-hop artist Big Freedia.

Details of the October event are in development but it will be held in Capitol Hill Oct. 9-10.

It will feature a self-guided tour of Capitol Hill’s favorite LGBTQIA+ and ally-owned businesses, and conclude with a musical performance while maintaining all public health rules.

On Oct. 11, National Coming Out Day, participants are invited to reflect on their own coming out stories at the My Coming Out Story video booth in a partnership with Three Dollar Bill Cinema.

Coming out videos will be compiled for the Seattle Pride YouTube channel to generate empathy, create new advocates and inspire others to come out.

Seattle Pride is sponsored by Alaska Airlines, Facebook and T-Mobile.

KIRO 7 is also very proud to be the official TV partner for Seattle Pride.
