SEATTLE — Seattle Pride’s 48th annual Pride Month celebration kicks off on Saturday with Pride in the Park.
The free event runs until 7 p.m. at Volunteer Park in Capitol Hill and is open to all ages.
The celebration is the first in-person Seattle Pride event to return since the start of the COVID pandemic.
“Virtual Pride was wonderful, but our community is used to seeing each other, supporting each other,” said Krystal Marx, Executive Director of Seattle Pride. “Being able to be together means being able to fight for our rights together, to celebrate together, to mourn together and we’re all just really excited that we’re all coming through the pandemic safely.”
This year’s event includes increased family-friendly programming, live performances, dancing, community booths and food trucks.
