Time magazine unveiled its list of the World's Greatest Places on Thursday morning and featured in its 100 destinations is Seattle restaurant JuneBaby.
Located in the Ravenna neighborhood, JuneBaby serves Southern food staples. such as pulled pork, fried chicken and candied yams. The eatery also educates its diners about the cuisine through its artwork, which features slaves, and its website, which includes an encyclopedia of menu ingredients, Time reports.

“This is the food that fed a lot of people to build America,” the restaurant's founding chef Edouardo Jordan, said to Time. “We shouldn't hide that. We should embrace it.”

Earlier this year, JuneBaby was named Best New Restaurant at the James Beard Foundation’s annual awards ceremony. That same night, Jordan won the award for Best Chef in the Northwest for his first restaurant, Salare, becoming the first African-American to win the award.
