SEATTLE — Seattle school bus drivers could soon walk off the job. Drivers for the bus provider ‘Zum’ voted to authorize a strike if they can’t come to terms on a new agreement.

‘Zum’ has been serving the Seattle School District since the start of the school year. It took on a portion of routes that were previously served by ‘First Student’.

Teamsters Local 174 says ‘Zum’ drivers are asking for the same pay and benefits as ‘First Student’ drivers.

The two sides have a series of meetings scheduled for the next few weeks.
