Seattle voters to weigh in on city’s largest-ever property tax measure

The election is November 7 and Seattle voters will weigh in on the city’s largest-ever property tax measure for affordable housing.

The new housing levy would raise $970 million over seven years. That’s more than triple the existing measure.

The new measure would fund around 3,200 homes for people with low and moderate incomes.

If you own a median $855,000 home it would cost you around $385 a year.

That’s a bump of $260.
