Seattle's Colman Dock ferry terminal was evacuated Friday afternoon. Officials with the Washington State Ferries said the terminal was closed due to a suspicious package.
Around 6 p.m., police determined there was no risk to the public at Colman Dock.
The terminal reopened and normal operations resumed by around 6:15 p.m. When Chopper 7 first arrived at the scene, hundreds of ferry passengers were out on the street.
Seattle police blocked all lanes on Alaskan Way between Madison Street and Spring Street.
There were no injuries reported.
No boats were allowed to dock, officials said. Kitsap Transit canceled the rest of the evening's fast-ferry sailings.
