SEATTLE — A semitruck has crashed into scaffolding at a building under construction in downtown Seattle.
The Seattle Fire Department tweeted about the crash near Fifth Avenue and Marion Street at 9:19 a.m. Thursday.
Seattle fire said that an adjacent building was evacuated as a precaution and a safety perimeter was set up.
Crews searched the building under construction and found no one inside.
Tow trucks will remove the semi and trailer. A few units from Seattle fire will remain at the scene to monitor the scaffolding.
No injuries were reported.
Lanes are blocked at the crash scene. Drivers should avoid the area.
