A man arrested for possession of child pornography was found with multiple videos of himself exposing himself to girls and women, and sometimes asking to smell their feet, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office.
Kevin McFarland, 49, was arrested on Dec. 15.
The videos found by deputies appear to have been recorded between 2018 and 2024 in the south King County areas, including Renton, and Tacoma.
According to deputies, McFarland filmed interactions with the girls and women, while exposing and touching himself.
Other times he would ask to smell their feet or show his penis to them under the impression he was “dared” to do so for a website.
According to deputies, McFarland successfully convinced a girl to go to another location while he took a video of himself smelling her foot.
McFarland would also approach young women in grocery stores.
Deputies said McFarland has multiple sex offense convictions, including multiple indecent exposure convictions, and a rape of a child conviction.
He was also a registered sex offender until 2023. He is no longer registered as his conviction took place when he was a minor and state laws relieved offenders from registering if they were minors before 2023.
The indecent exposure convictions as an adult were not sexually motivated, and according to the court rulings, he was not required to register as a sex offender.
Deputies say he may have driving different vehicles including a dark colored Chevy SUV or an unknown make red sedan.
