The Washington Department of Transportation closed both directions of State Route 410 just east of the Chinook Pass summit for a slide that is blocking the road.
Officials closed the road Friday from the junction of State Route 123/SR 410 near milepost 66 to milepost 74 near Morse Creek.
Crews from Washington State Patrol, WSDOT and the Mount Rainier Park Rangers were at the scene helping to clear the debris.
This is the opposite side of the debris flow from the South Tahoma Glacier.
The road reopened Saturday.
