New York City burger joint Shake Shack was set to open Washington state's first location to the public on Saturday, Oct. 6, but the restaurant announced on Wednesday that its opening has been delayed.
Days before the scheduled opening, KIRO 7 toured the location at 2115 Westlake Avenue in Seattle's South Lake Union neighborhood.

The Seattle menu features all the Shack classics, including the ShackBurger, crinkle-cut fries, hand-spun shakes, frozen custard concretes and the Montlake Double Cut, a Seattle-exclusive burger. The Montlake Double Cut is a Washington state, all-natural, beef double cheeseburger with Beecher's "Just Jack" cheese, caramelized onions and grainy mustard mayo on a Macrina Bakery bun.
When customers enter the restaurant, they can order their meals through kiosks and pay with cards. Cash-paying customers can order through kiosks and pay in separate area.
The Seattle location displayed signs that it plans to use their Shack App that lets customers order ahead of time.
The 3,015-square foot Shack has an outdoor patio, seating for guests and an installation by local artist Jesse Brown.
A new date for its opening hasn't been announced, but the burger chain said it would be very soon.
The first location opened in 2004 in New York City. It has expanded to more than 180 locations in the country and more than 70 international locations.
