An app can now track school buses and the children who ride them.
Since 2017, the North Kitsap School District has been using the "Here Comes the Bus" tracking system on four of its 65 buses.
According to the Kitsap Sun, they’re expanding the system to their entire fleet.
With the app, if the bus is running late, parents will get a notification on their smartphone or laptop.
Parents on Bainbridge Island also have access to the app, but theirs goes even further.
It can notify parents when and where their child boards and exits the bus by using a barcode or a fob on the student's backpack.
